• Tentsmuir Forest and beach on the outskirts of St Andrews (within a half hour drive) is great for exploring; if you want to venture further afield, the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park offers some lovely opportunities for longer walks in the Scottish hills.

Crail is one of the most picturesque and historic villages in the East Neuk of Fife, celebrated for its charming harbour, cobbled streets and well-preserved architecture. Its scenic waterfront has inspired artists for generations, while the village's rich maritime heritage is evident throughout its winding lanes and traditional buildings.

Visitors can enjoy freshly caught lobster and crab, available directly from the harbour when in season, before exploring Crail's independent art galleries, local pottery studios, antique shops and welcoming cafés. With its unique blend of coastal beauty and village charm, Crail is a wonderful place to spend a leisurely holiday discovering one of Scotland's most characterful seaside destinations.

St Anne's sits in the heart of Crail town centre behind the historic Toll Booth. There is on-street parking outside the house as well as several EV charging points.

Once inside the house there is a generous hallway off which you will find the lovely living room with exposed stonework, an open fire, comfortable seating and access to the patio outside. Off the living room behind the full length bookcase is a "secret door" where you will find the "bunk room" annex which is a great place for kids to hang out , there is a set of bunk beds in this room and a separate toilet which also houses the combined washer/dryer.

Off the other side of the hallway you will find the wonderful dining kitchen, again with exposed stonework, a large dining table and access to the patio. The kitchen is fully equipped with a range cooker, fridge/freezer, microwave, dishwasher. There is a family bathroom also accessed from the hallway.

Up the original staircase with a window overlooking the garden there are three bedrooms. The main bedroom has a king-size bed and it is double aspect with windows overlooking the garden to the rear and the street to the front. There are two further twin bedded rooms one with an en-suite shower room.

One ot the really great features of St Anne's is the outside space and garden. The is a large patio area with quality outdoor furniture and a charcoal bbq. From the patio you can wander into the extensive garden grounds which incorporate a large lawned area, flower beds, a wild flower meadow and orchard. The whole garden is south facing and is a perfect place for kids to play and adults to sit out and relax. On warm spring and summer evenings the patio will be great for alfresco dining.

So, St Anne's offers something for everyone and is a tranquil oasis in the heart of Crail.
