St Andrews is recognised the world over as the Home Of Golf. It will feature on every serious golfer’s “bucket list” but it should not be thought of as simply a one course town.

In addition to The Old Course, you can also play The New Course, The Jubilee, The Eden, The Strathtyrum, The Balgove and now, The Castle. With all of these courses on offer it is one of the world’s premier golfing destinations but it doesn’t stop there.

Less well known are the other world class venues within a stone’s throw of St Andrews.

Other championship courses nearby include Kingsbarns (which will host the Ricoh Women’s Open in 2017), and is regularly featured in the Worlds top 100 courses. Crail, Elie, Lundin Links and Leven are all fantastic examples of traditional links courses with all the idiosyncrasies and history you would expect.

If pure links golf isn’t your thing or if you would simply like to sample something different then the wonderful heathland course at Ladybank is well worth a visit. A short trip to the edge of the River Tay will take you to Scotscraig, for many years an Open Championship qualification venue and a fabulous course.

A journey across the River Tay opens up other opportunities such as Blairgowrie, Gleneagles and Carnoustie all within a one hour drive.

In short St Andrews and Fife offers an unsurpassed choice of quality venues for the discerning golfer and will provide golfing experiences that will live in the memory for a lifetime.
