In the historic centre of St Andrews, Cowper’s Close is an ideal holiday house for golfers and families alike, within a short walk of the Old Course and the beach. A landmark building on South Street dating from the 18th century, this spacious house has four bedrooms and two bathrooms and has been furnished to a very high standard including a dining room, a fully-equipped kitchen with an Aga and two sitting rooms. There is also a conservatory, a large, fully enclosed garden and the property has its own garage close by. There is wifi and wood burning stove. One bedroom and bathroom are on the ground floor which means that this is a good house for people with mobility issues.

Restaurants and shops are within easy walking distance as are the cathedral and castle. Kingsbarns and other golf courses, including The Duke’s, are a short drive away.

Because of its position, there can be some street noise at the front of the house from a nearby beer garden (which closes at 9pm) but is otherwise very quiet

Please be aware that the annual Lammas Street Market will be in operation in St Andrews from August 9th to August 11th 2026. The market will operate on South Street from 9th August to 11th August and on these dates South Street will be closed to traffic. These streets will be very busy and some noise may travel from the market to the apartment. The market will operate until 11.00pm.
