Sleeping 8/10 this is a stunning landmark St Andrews building, centrally located on South Street with a large, fully enclosed, garden and conservatory. Birthplace of James Foulis, winner of the US Open in 1896, golf course designer and inventor of the mashie-niblick golf club. The house has four bedrooms and two bathrooms, three of the bedrooms can be made up as two single beds or one super king bed. There is also a sofa bed in the basement snug for occasional use which can be made up on request. This characterful, historic house, dating back to the 18th century, has all the comforts of a well-loved home, including wireless internet access. Its central location puts it right on the doorstep of the town's many artisan shops, restaurants and pubs. It is only a five minute walk to the world famous Old Course.There is a small garage nearby for guest use. Maximum of two prior-arranged, well-behaved dogs.

In the historic centre of St Andrews, Cowper’s Close is an ideal holiday house for golfers and families alike, within a short walk of the Old Course and the beach. A landmark building on South Street dating from the 18th century, this spacious house has four bedrooms and two bathrooms and has been furnished to a very high standard including a dining room, a fully-equipped kitchen with an Aga and two sitting rooms. There is also a conservatory, a large, fully enclosed garden and the property has its own garage close by. There is wifi and wood burning stove. One bedroom and bathroom are on the ground floor which means that this is a good house for people with mobility issues.
Restaurants and shops are within easy walking distance as are the cathedral and castle. Kingsbarns and other golf courses, including The Duke’s, are a short drive away.
