The Golf Lodge is a spectacular, architect-designed holiday house. It sits in a wonderful setting, located on the edge of the beautiful seaside town of Crail in the heart of the East Neuk of Fife, with the historic town of St Andrews only 15 minutes away. Located between Balcomie and Craighead golf courses and commanding panoramic coastal views it is a house for all occasions. Whether as a base for exploring the golfing delights of Fife, as a family holiday home or as a venue for a special celebration it has everything you will need. The Golf Lodge provides the perfect location for golf and luxury self catering holidays.
The Golf Lodge sits in a truly unique and unrivalled location overlooking both golf courses at Crail Golfing Society - the seventh oldest Golf Club in the world. The house provides luxury accommodation for up to 12 guests in a collection of six bedrooms, five of which have en-suite shower rooms and the sixth sits adjacent to its own shower room. There is a stunning first floor Master Suite with a modern four poster bed with a luxurious en-suite bathroom with double aspect windows, a separate shower room and WC . The four bedrooms with twin beds and second double bedroom with a single bed are located on the ground floor.
The Golf Lodge enjoys a collection of outside spaces from patios to decks designed to take maximum benefit from its breathtaking location. From sunrise to sunset you will never tire of the ever changing views. - Head to St Andrews, home of Scotland's oldest university, and stroll along the two-mile stretch of pristine beach, West Sands, where Chariots of Fire was filmed.
- Several attractive country and coastal walks can be accessed directly from the house.
- For water-sports enthusiasts or anyone who wants to try something new, there is a choice of water sports in the nearby town of Elie, which also has a beautiful harbour and beach.
- Tentsmuir Forest and beach on the outskirts of St Andrews (within a half hour drive) is great for exploring; if you want to venture further afield, the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park offers some lovely opportunities for longer walks in the Scottish hills.
Crail is one of the most picturesque and historic villages in the East Neuk of Fife, celebrated for its charming harbour, cobbled streets and well-preserved architecture. Its scenic waterfront has inspired artists for generations, while the village's rich maritime heritage is evident throughout its winding lanes and traditional buildings.
Visitors can enjoy freshly caught lobster and crab, available directly from the harbour when in season, before exploring Crail's independent art galleries, local pottery studios, antique shops and welcoming cafés. With its unique blend of coastal beauty and village charm, Crail is a wonderful place to spend a leisurely holiday discovering one of Scotland's most characterful seaside destinations.
It is the perfect setting for a special event or a business get together. The Lodge is equipped to the highest standard. It offers stunning views across the golf course towards the sea from its balconies and patios.
The bedrooms take their names from the spectacular golf courses close by. Five of the bedrooms have en-suite facilities and the sixth has a shower room next door. The house also has SKY TV including the sports package in the lounges and wifi throughout. There are lounges and kitchens on each floor. There is oak flooring throughout the house with under-floor heating.
The upper level of the house has a luxurious well equipped spacious kitchen with gorgeous dining table to sit around with all your friends and family. There is a lounge area which leads off from the kitchen and through patio doors to a large terrace with outdoor seating for 12. The lounge is equipped with a wood burning stove for those cooler evenings.
Upstairs the master bedroom has a stunning four poster bed and the bathroom features a roll top bath giving uninterrupted views of the golf courses and sea beyond.
The house has been designed with an eye for detail right down to the golf store at the rear entrance which resembles the locker room in a high class Golf Club.
