Sleeps 4 - Hazel Cottage has recently been fully renovated and is a lovely cosy property in a quiet location in the beautiful village of Kingsbarns. It has two bedrooms, a generous living room with en open fire, a compact and well equipped kitchen and a family bathroom. There is a private parking space and a small patio area. KIngsbarns has one of Fife's top beaches which is a 10 minute walk from the cottage and the world famous Kingsbarns Links golf course is also a few minutes away. KIngsbarns is only 10 minutes from all that St Andrews has to offer and 10 minutes in the other direction you will find the quaint fishing villages of the East Neuk. So, a lovely property in a great location which would be suitable for couples, small groups or families.

KIngsbarns is a charming village just a short drive from the historic town of St Andrews. This beautiful coastal village boasts a fabulous beach ideal for all the family and plays host to the spectacular Kingsbarns golf links which have fast become known as one of the world’s outstanding courses. Local attractions include the iconic Victorian Walled Garden at Cambo Gardens, Scotland’s Secret Bunker near St Andrews, Crail Pottery in the heart of Crail, with many more places to go and see.
St Andrews is renowned world wide as the ‘Home of Golf’. The Old Course is a regular host to the Open Championship which was last held there in July 2015. The Open will return in 2022 when we will see the 150th playing of this historic tournament. Be sure to book your accommodation early. There are now six further golf courses run by the St Andrews Links Trust, including the Castle Course opened in 2009. There are many other golf courses in the area including the Duke’s Course, two courses at Fairmont, St Andrews Bay, two courses at Crail Golfing Society, Elie and the brand new course at Dumbarnie Golf Links.
Tucked into a corner of the east coast of Scotland between St Andrews and Edinburgh, the East Neuk of Fife is one of Scotland's most beautiful regions. It has a character all its own, attracting artists by the thousands to its unique combination of history, sea, farmland and beaches, its picturesque fishing villages with their Dutch-style houses and its world famous golf courses. There is so much to do here for the whole family, from kayaking to horseriding, and yet there is great peace here too. In the summer, flowers line the hedgerows and the fields are rich with crops while fishing boats bob in the sea. It's a perfect place to relax, to eat well, and to recharge the batteries. Eight coastal villages comprise the East Neuk - each with its own special character.
On entering Hazel Cottage from the small patio area there is a long hall/passageway off which all of the rooms are accessed.
To your left is the kitchen which is well equipped with an oven, hob, fridge/freezer, microwave and washing machine. There is a small table to seat 4 and at the end of the room there is a pantry. The kitchen has a lovely long window which floods the room with natural light.
To your right when you enter the house is the lovely living room with an open fire, a Smart TV and comfortable seating for 4.
Opposite the living room is the first of the bedrooms which has a king size bed and a chest of drawers with some hanging space. The second of the bedrooms is at the end of the hall and this has a set of bunk beds and a small cupboard for storage and hanging space.
The family bathroom has an electric shower over the bath, a toilet and wash hand basin.
All in all this is a beautiful compact cottage which provides all that you will need as a base to explore what this fabulous part of Fife has to offer.
