Sleeps 2 - East Pier View is a luxurious and spacious 1 bedroom ground floor apartment on the seafront in St Monans, one of the pretty fishing villages in the East Neuk of Fife near St Andrews. Beautiful paintings adorn the walls, painted by the owner and the fresh blue and white tones of the fabulous decor perfectly complement the apartment's seaside setting - the views across the pier towards the open sea are simply stunning.

The East Neuk village of St Monans is a small fishing village, steeped in history, which used to have Millers boat yard which built fairly substantial fishing boats. The harbour is very picturesque and as a relic of the past are the saltpans which in yesteryears were an active part of the local economy. It contains all the facilities you could hope for in a small village: there are 2 general stores, a Post Office, cafe and the Blue Pier smokehouse and fish merchants.
There is a very famous restaurant in the village “The Seafood Restaurant” which also owns the Seafood Restaurant in St Andrews. The village is also fortunate to have an excellent restaurant at the Mayview Hotel.
St Monans is very centrally placed being 20 minutes from St Andrews, under 10 minutes from Anstruther which has an excellent 9-hole golf course not to mention a superb restaurant called “Rockies” at the club. Elie and Earlsferry and its beautiful golf course and the Elie Sports Club with tennis and bowls and a 9-hole golf course are also about 10 minutes away.
The village and the house has superb views across the Firth of the Forth to the Isle of May and the Bass Rock. Dundee and St Andrews offer a more comprehensive choice of shops and restaurants and are just a short drive away.
Pittenweem to the north of St Monans is host to one of Scotland's most famous art festivals in August with a stunning fireworks display to open the festival.

This fabulous property is a ground floor apartment in a traditional fisherman's cottage in St Monans, aptly named East Pier View for its unrivalled vista across the quaint pier of this popular East Neuk fishing village. It is extremely spacious and equipped to a luxurious standard, with paintings by the owner adorning the walls and a colour scheme which perfectly complements the seaside setting. The house is located on the harbour front and there is ample parking to the front of the property. Thanks to its the size and location, it would particularly appeal to couples looking for a relaxing coastal escape.
On arriving at the property the front door leads to a small vestibule for coats and shoes. As you continue into the house, you will find the open plan sitting/dining room and kitchen area. Beautifully finished, this is a lovely, comfortable space for relaxing or entertaining. The kitchen is very well equipped with fridge / freezer, hob and electric oven, microwave, kettle and plenty of cutlery and utensils. The dining table seats four and is the perfect place to enjoy a meal with the sun streaming in from the window which overlooks the harbour.
If relaxing is the order of the day then there is a comfortable sofa and arm chairs to wind down in and a TV with Freeview to keep you entertained. The house is decorated throughout with charming references to fishing and the sea which are, in themselves, lovely to admire. Just off the open plan living space is a convenient WC with toilet and wash hand basin.
Bedroom - The bedroom has a kingsize bed . The view is to the front and out to sea, and enjoys the same sunny benefits as the living room. There is plentiful wardrobe and cupboard space for all your items.
Bathroom - The door to the bathroom is off the main bedroom. This luxurious bathroom has a bath with shower over, toilet and wash hand basin. Again, it is sympathetically decorated in nautical style but at the same time very modern and appealing - the perfect place for a long soak in a hot bath.
